Hi everyone!  I am writing to those of you who are interested in adopting a sugar glider, have a sugar glider and want to compare experiences, or perhaps you are just curious about the little critters.

My sugar glider is named Pokey.  She is almost five; I have had her since she was 10 months old. I got her when I was an undergrad and spending many late nights studying alone.  I wanted a nighttime friend to keep me company, and she was perfect for the role.

I’ve learned a lot in the past four years and I am still learning how to be a good mom to my sugar glider to this day.  In this blog, I will talk about where I got Pokey, how we bonded, the kinds of toys she plays with, what she likes in her diet, her cage, sugar glider-proofing my room, travel, and health care.
